Q: What do I need to record after an accident has occurred?
A: Be sure to take time to record as much as possible from the following when the accident has occurred: names of all drivers involved; driver’s license numbers, addresses and phone numbers of all drivers; other drivers’ insurance companies and policy numbers; license plate number, year, color and make of the vehicle; names and addresses under which the vehicles are registered; try to obtain the names and phone numbers of the passengers in other vehicles, pedestrians, other parties involved (such as witnesses); police officer’s name, department and badge number; exact location of the accident.
Ensure that you get as much information as possible as it will aide in submitting the claim to your insurance company. If possible, take pictures. Then, before you call anyone, call us, so we can work out a strategy for your case and seek fair compensation for you.
